Questions people ask

How does a league schedule generator work?

You list the teams and pick the game days, start times and fields. It pairs every team against every other (twice for home and away), then places each round on the next game day, at a time and a field, skipping the dates you mark off.

How many games does each team play?

With home and away, each team plays every other team twice, so 2 x (teams - 1) games: 18 each in a 10-team league. With an odd number of teams, one team rests each round and the schedule says who.

Can each team play home games at its own field?

Yes. Write the team with its field after a dash, like "Hawks - Lincoln Park", and every Hawks home game is at Lincoln Park. Teams without a field of their own play at the shared fields you list.

What happens with holidays or rained-out weeks?

Add them as dates with no games before you build the schedule, and those rounds move to the next game day. If the season then runs past the end date you set, the page says so, so you can add a second game day instead.

Is this league scheduler free?

Yes. Building, printing and downloading the season as a calendar file are free with no account. Publishing it as a live calendar every family subscribes to needs a free TangoHive account.
