How "Shared with me" works
Calendars people share with you attach to your email and follow you to any device.
When someone invites your email, or you press "Add to my TangoHive" on a share page while signed in, that calendar joins your account.
It shows up in your own calendar views alongside your events. View access means you can look, not touch; edit access means you can add and change events too, which is the move for two parents running the kids' calendars.
It works even in the other order: if someone shares to your email before you have an account, the calendar is waiting the moment you sign up with that address.
To stop following one, open My calendars and press Leave next to it under "Shared with me".
