Do parents need accounts or an app?
No. One tap from the email opens the post; one tap adds the calendar to their phone.
No accounts, no app. The email each person receives contains their own link; tapping it opens the post immediately.
The calendar works the same way: one tap subscribes their phone's own calendar app, and every update flows automatically.
If someone wants to sign in on your site to browse older posts, they use the email address your group already has for them - a sign-in code is emailed, no password to invent.
